Missing stuff? Check the school bus office

• Schools re-open on Sept. 2.
• There is a large box of lost clothes, shoes and more at the bus office in Qualicum Beach. Items not picked up before the second week of July will be donated to the Society of Organized Services. Call 752-6031.
Parksville Elementary
• The school office is open until July 11, and then closes until Aug. 18. Class lists for September will be posted on the first day of school, Sept. 2.
Qualicum Beach Elementary
School
Students said goodby to staff members Eileen Saremba, Fiona Mathison, Catherine Baynton, Crystal Burgess, Roo Whetstone, Jill Gresham, Jill Macpherson and Roberta Richardson.
Oceanside Middle
• The first meet the teacher evening at OMS is Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the gym.
• The school was awarded a platinum award by the Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation and Dance.
This is the fifth year the school got an award.
Winchelsea Elementary
• The first day of kindergarten is Sept. 5. Grades 1 to 5 start Sept. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
• There are 56 books missing from the library. They can be dropped off, if found, in September.
Errington Elementary
• Students will need to have their emergency preparedness comfort kits replenished in September. Perishable items are being removed, but the kits are being stored at the school during the summer.
